2010-02-10 The Jarl Hjalmarson Foundation arranged a Study Visit to Brussels on February 1-4, for a group of women politicians from Party for Democratic Progress, PDP, Bosnia. The programme included visits to the European Commission, the European Parliament and NATO. The group also met with the Bosnian Ambassador to the EU and the Bosnian Ambassador to NATO and had a chance to informally discuss their country’s relations with both institutions. During their visit to the European Parliament the group met with Swedish MEP, Anna Maria Corazza Bildt, and had the opportunity to discuss the importance of personal campaigning. At the end of the study visit the participants commended the program and said that it had helped them acquire a deeper understanding for Bosnia’s relationship to the EU and to NATO.
