Projects in Africa
Ghana became as the first colony in Africa independent in 1957. During a long time the politics were dominated with coup d’états which led to the suspension of the constitution and the ban of all political activities in 1981. Today, Ghana is one of few democracies in Africa.
The Seychelles’ independence in 1976 was followed by 20 years under socialist rule. In 1993, the country realized a new constitution which enabled free elections. Ever since then, the Parti Lepep (formerly the Progressive Front of the Seychelles People) has been in power.
