Seminar with Belarusian presidential candidate in Stockholm

The leader of the Belarusian opposition organization Tell the Truth and presidential candidate in 2015, Tatsiana Karatkevich, has today participated in a Seminar organized by the Swedish Delegation of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly and the Swedish Institute for foreign affairs.

The seminar under the headline “Belarusian opposition getting seats in the Parliament – is a real change going on” has given an overall view of the political situation in the country after the Parliamentary elections on 11 September 2016, and analyzed the few positive aspects of the fact that two members of the opposition are now MPs. Human Rights and the failure to conduct fair elections have been discussed as well. Yesterday evening Katarina Wallberg and Jens Ahl met Karatkevich to discuss the political situation of Tell the Truth and the organization’s plans before the local elections in 2018 in Belarus.
