Study Visit for Eastern European Youth before EP-ElectionsMay 13th, 2014 News
May 2014, the Jarl Hjalmarson Foundation invited political active youth from the Balkans and Eastern Europe to a study visit in Sweden to be a part of the upcoming elections to the European Parliament.
The purpose of the study visit was to inform about the work of the European Union and how election campaigns to its parliament are carried through. Study visits to the Swedish Parliament and the Confederation of Swedish Enterprise interspersed with meetings with Swedish politicians and daily campaign field work such as giving out leaflets and door-to-door campaigning. The activities took place in Stockholm and close-by cities in the region.
The participants represented the sister parties of the Moderate Party in their countries respectively, and came from Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Georgia, Kosovo, Macedonia, Moldova and Serbia.
